Favoritism might be deplorable in professional world but as a fanatical admirer of The Flight of the Conchords TV show; nobody can prevent me from penning down my feelings of my most admired characters on this laugh riot. To kick a football with utmost speed and force, follow through is the most essential aspect and a television comedy is no different. The speed and flow of plot, and actor’s dialogue delivery make a comedy show work or be rubbished by its fans. The Flight of the Conchords had a follow through that can be compared to smooth swing of Golf Prodigy Tiger Woods when he hits the golf ball.

Let me introduce you to the name of my most loved character in The Flight of the Conchords TV show. I almost worship the character of Murray the manager of the band of the comedy duo composed of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie who are playing fictionalized versions of themselves in this TV show. Murray is a hilarious character for sure. He has sparse knowledge of music industry. He also believes in a number of misconceptions, which trigger several comical incidences. He is more than eager to offer a piece of his invaluable advice. He has a fixed routine of calling roll call to mark attendance of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie before any meeting. This routine of his is disliked by both the band members and often results in atmosphere of bewilderment and disarray. A dramatist has to enter into shoes of the character to come out with such unique concepts. Great to see their thoughts materialize into a real nerd like Murray.

The second season of the series will have ten episodes in it and this is also going to be their last season of the series, too. Now that is sad news for the fans of the series. But still I would like to say that for the moment we should concentrate on the second season and enjoy that. Well, he sings for the women all over the world on ‘Flight of the Conchords’. But who resides in his musical heart? It was the most talked about topic between young gals, a few days ago. But now everyone has the answer and this lucky gal is the gorgeous Miranda Manasiadis, Wellington actress and theatre director.

Jemaine Clement, 34, wed her in a Los Angeles registry office. The couple exchanged the marriage vows in front of their friends. Jermaine’s co-star Bret McKenzie was also present on the occasion. It was a simple wedding without any celebrity bustle. This comic actor/writer has taken a break from writing the second season of series…. It’s genuine…. after all newly-weds need privacy and just privacy so all the assignments are put in ‘after some time’ box.

Funnyman (what Jermaine is known as) married the most beautiful girl of the world (as he says)… and the couple is ‘really made for each other’. Well, our blessings are for the newly weds and congrats to happy couple! His life partner is very well known for her work in theatre and she has had major roles in plays at Circa and Bats Theatres.

‘Flight of the Conchords’ is returning with second season and as per the latest news, we’ll have the next season in the beginning of 2009. Hope, honeymoon will not get very long and Jermaine will be back to work very soon!
