The New Zealand comedy duo Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie have made their mind to take one year break before starting the third series of the multi award winning TV show ‘Flight of the Conchords’. This year, the show is nominated in Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series (for the episode ‘The Tough Brets’), Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Jemaine Clement), Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics (for the song ‘Carol Brown’), Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half Hour) and Animation, and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series (for the episode ‘Prime Minister’). My best wishes are with Jemaine Clement (my favorite).

HBO executives have already shown their interest in producing the third series of Flight of the Conchords. “When they’re ready, we’re ready… they have the added challenge of writing an album … we’re waiting for them to tell us they’re ready” was said by Co-president Richard Plepler and Programming head Michael Lombardo says, “We’ve told them we’re ready to go for a third season.”.

Actor Rhys Darby, who is their band’s manger in ‘Flight of the Conchords’ said, “There’s been orders for another season but I know the guys have a British mentality where you create something, you finish it and move on. We’re being pulled different ways. Even if we do go on, there are different options there. Do we do a Christmas special, or a film or even turn it into a stage show and tour the world with it? It’s still a full on ‘who knows?’ scenario!” he concluded, “I’m open to whatever Bret and Jemaine want, it’s their baby and I’m just along for the ride. I know they’re going to take a year off, but there’s already a bit of pressure already from people saying ‘how can you end this thing now?’ There’s no decision made.”

I want them to shoot third series as soon as possible but it completely depends upon them when they will come back to begin next series. Until then let us take a ride of ‘Flight of the Conchords’ episodes and fly higher and higher in their comedy jet.

We all love big screen. What about getting to see Flight of the Conchords on the silver screen? I am definitely very excited at the prospect of my favorite TV show turning into a movie. Rhys Darby, one of the cast members has disclosed that James Bobin, one of the co-creator of this show, is contemplating the idea of making a movie based on Flight of the Conchords TV show.

However, James Bobin is a smart guy as only a neat guy like him can come up with rib-tickling comedy like Flight of the Conchords and he won’t commit to something unless he is sure of its success. As told by Rhys Darby, James Bobin will be producing a movie only if he is able to chalk out a great story. A great story has been the life and soul of Flight of the Conchords and movie based on this outstanding series deserves a great plot as well.

Flight of the Conchords is a box full of different treats. The show produces really funny situations based on the cultural differences between Australia and New-Zealand. It also makes use of universal male desire to have a gorgeous girlfriend and the main protagonists of this television show, Jamaine Clement and Bret McKenzie create problems for themselves in this wild pursuit.  Their constant search for their dream girls runs in between the main plot of their trying to become successful as a band.

I love Flight of the Conchords, and who can resist the idea of getting to see a movie based upon it. We all would love that James Bobin examines all his cards carefully before getting on with the movie production. We all know that “Rome was not built in a day”. So the wait for a movie based on Flight of the Conchords is definitely its worth. All of us are well familiar with the hit comedy series ‘Flight of the Conchords’. The series revolves around the day to day lives of two musicians Jemaine and Bret, who uproot themselves from their native New Zealand, to make it big in the New York City. In order to make a name in the city they make us laugh, thoroughly, with their experiences and adventures. The series has just completed its first season and the second one is under production.

Now, that the series has been such a big hit, everyone, wants to be a part of the series. Recently, actor Seth Rogen, who is also known as the king of the comedy, said that he would love to work with the pair and would like to make a film or show with them. He said that the guys are really funny and that he watches the show on regular basis. He further suggested that the guys can invite them on the show, but they haven’t done that, as for now. Seth Rogen’s latest film ‘Pineapple Express’ has been quite a big success and people have loved his work in the movie.

Well, Seth I also think that it is a good idea. If all of you all will be together, I can image what the show will be like. The show will be a complete entertainer, though it already is, but it will be all the more of fun, with all of you together. And, all you ‘Conchord’ fans, if you get to see a movie in the recent times, don’t surprise yourself, as the idea is already in the air. The pair was already a hit in their native, New Zealand, and now they are hitting the grounds of the rest of the World.

As, for now, we all are desperately waiting for the next season and we want it as early as possible. We are missing you and your show, Jemaine and Bret. Please hurry up with the next season.

The show has completed its first season long back and the fans are dying for the second one to start. Completely in love with the show, they all love the way the show has been presented. Especially the way the show plays with the songs. The songs apart from being funny, gives the complete overview of the internal feelings of the character. Not just that, the fans are of the view that the show has a very different comedy line, which is not directly related to you, but will make you laugh like anything.

The show is a perfect blend, of all elements, that should be present in a comedy. All the characters of the show are portrayed in a very different way. The characters most of the times are silly, which will ultimately make you laugh. The fans are of the view that the show has left behind all other comedy series, making this one their personal favorite.

The fans have a very positive opinion of the show. They are so fond of the show that they will wait for the show even a bit longer. They also respect the feelings of the stars of the show, as they intend to provide good quality humor to their fans. For the same they might have to delay the airing of the show. But the fans are ready to bear that, till the time the show will provide them with good humor.

During the airing of the first season it was announced that the series will be renewed for a second season. As the second season was scheduled to air in 2008, but now it has been postponed to next year. The reason to the delay of the series is told because of the writers’ strike.

But somehow the stars of the show didn’t sound too confident about the second season. They were of the view that for the next season they will need new songs and for that they will need time as they need to build new material. They also confessed that almost 98% of the bands previous songs they have already used in the first season. They also stated that they probably will need more time than thought to start the second season. It was also stated that probably the second season will have less episodes than the previous one, as they intend to give good quality entertainment to their viewers rather than quantity.

Apparently they will start shooting for the second season early September and continue till the end of December. With this we are hopeful to get more of the comedy series early in 2009.

The star from the “Flight of the Conchords” is all set for his tour of the United States. Rhys Darby who plays, Murray a band manager in the show. He is one of the characters who adds a lot to the comedy of the show and is one of my favorite too.

Darby will be on a short tour to U.S, where he will be doing live shows in Washington, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Sayreville. Unfortunately, Darby will not be able to tour the rest of U.S as he is all booked for the rest of the year, shooting for the second season of the series Flight of the Conchords. Darby will also be performing in London. His U.S tour will start on Sept 13, 2008 and end on Nov 1, 2008. He will be performing in U.K on October 16.

So, all you Darby fans get ready as your favorite visits you and start getting in cue for the tickets as they will all be sold out soon.
